Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure your core arrives safely and to avoid carrier surcharges.
1. DRAIN ALL OIL
- Critical: You must completely drain all oil and fluids from the airend before shipping.
- Why: Carriers will reject shipments that leak, or charge massive hazardous cleanup fees (often $500+) which will be billed back to you.
- Tip: After draining, cap and plug all ports securely.
2. Secure to a Pallet
- Do not use a cardboard box for airends. They are too heavy and will break through the bottom.
- The unit must be bolted or strapped securely to a standard wooden pallet.
- Use metal strapping or heavy-duty ratchet straps. Plastic shrink wrap alone is not enough to hold an airend in place.
3. Protect Critical Areas
- Cover the drive shaft and intake/discharge ports with cardboard or wood to prevent impact damage during transit.
4. Insurance & Liability
- Inbound Shipping: You are responsible for the cost of shipping and insurance when sending the unit to us. We recommend insuring the shipment for the full replacement value of the core.
- CRU Inc. is not responsible for damage incurred during transit to our facility.
5. Where to Ship
Please clearly mark your RMA Number or Order Number on the shipping label and send to:
CRU Inc. ATTN: Service Dept / Overhauls, 8-4995 Timberlea Blvd., Mississauga, ON, L4W 2S2
